BetterTrades Summer Studio Sessions

Summer Studio Sessions by BetterTrades

Atlanta was the site of a big emphasis by BetterTrades in the summer of 2009, as each of the company's specialty trading coaches came to the Atlanta headquarters to re-record their DVDs in the brand new television studio. It was the first time that BetterTrades hosted an event in their $1.5 million studio, which is one of only 50 such facilities located in the United States.

Throughout August and September, coaches Ryan Litchfield, Markay Latimer, Bob Eldridge and Darlene Powell joined BetterTrades founder Freddie Rick at the company offices in the Atlanta suburb of Norcross. After a couple of days of rehearsals, the experienced stock market instructors were ready to take the stage and present the material to the eager ears of the students.

Hundreds of students arrived early and stayed late every day in order to participate in the educational sessions. Some were BetterTrades students from the Atlanta area, but surveys showed a widespread geographic representation in the classes. There were students from Washington and Oregon in the Pacific Northwest, as well as Maine and New Hampshire in the Northeast. There were students from California, Texas, Colorado and Minnesota, as well as nearby states like Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Alabama. One student was on holiday in China, but returned home early in order to take advantage of the unprecedented learning opportunity.

Students were excited about getting a chance to participate in the live studio audience. No one seemed to complain when an instructor had to stop and repeat material because of a technical flaw. The chance to be a part of a special BetterTrades event more than made up for any inconvenience. The students each received a framed souvenir picture with their class and were hosted on a tour of the facilities by Freddie Rick, who took time during at least one of each instructor's session to stay around and answer questions from the audience.

The new studio could comfortably seat 120 students, who watched the presentation unfold in front of them and were able to watch the PowerPoint presentation above them on one of six big screens that BetterTrades had shipped from overseas.

The students who came from out of town were able to enjoy many of the things for which Atlanta is known. Many came early and took advantage of the nice weather in order to play golf or visit the city's world-famous aquarium or zoo. Some attended a baseball game at Turner Field and others simply went shopping at one of the area's many fashionable shopping malls.
