BetterTrades founder and CEO Freddie Rick started his life in humble surroundings in a small town in Louisiana. Today, he is the owner of a multi-million dollar business that helps people around the world.
When Freddie Rick graduated from high school in Kentwood, La., a few miles down the road from the Britney Spears family, he enlisted in the U.S. Marines. Freddie was trained as a sniper, was promoted to the rank of sergeant, and was recommended to attend an advanced leadership school, but he decided instead to leave when his commitment had been fulfilled.
Freddie Rick always had an entrepreneurial spirit; he sold peanuts on the side of the road and operated a snow-cone stand when he was a boy. After leaving the service, he opened a carpet cleaning service in the San Diego area and entered into multi-level marketing. Because of his ability as a presenter, Freddie Rick was able to rapidly move up the chain in one company after another. Soon after, Freddie Rick decided to pursue one of his great passions in life: trading. He studied and developed a series of strategies and tactics that eventually became the BetterTrades education system.
Freddie began to teach people around the country and started to assemble a team of individuals who eventually became known as the BetterTrades coaching staff. BetterTrades has continued to grow from those early modest days and now takes its message of financial freedom to more than 100 cities in the United States and Canada. BetterTrades now trains more than 180,000 students each year, conducts more than 2000 Financial Freedom Expos, hosts more than 300 live Market Essentials workshops, offers more than 50 free online classes, and offers more than 200 premium online and on location classes.
Nearly 400 people work for BetterTrades, with roughly 100 working out of the 50,000 square-foot building that Freddie purchased in 2009. He also owns an 18,000 square-foot printing and distribution center in West Virginia, which is where Freddie and Mitzi Rick reside. Freddie Rick spends most of his time at his home in West Virginia or at the office in the Atlanta suburbs.
